I care about the human side of leadership, business, and life. The moments that stay with us are often quiet, relational, and deeply felt. They help people feel seen, stirred, and brave enough to become more.
Husband to Anne. Dad to Isla and Sophie. Believer in Jesus. Lover of music, coffee, the bike, sport, and the kind of conversations that change people.
The Origin
I learned so much of what I know about connection from my grandad, sitting beside the fire as he painted pictures of a future where people were deeply connected, where stories were not lost to noise, where neighbors knew one another, and where communities felt like family.
In those moments, I began to understand that warmth does not only come from the flame. It comes from the circle around it. From the story that draws someone closer. From the listening that makes a person feel known. From the quiet comfort of belonging.
He calls me "Matches." A small, affectionate nickname, but one that has come to feel deeply symbolic. A match is almost insignificant on its own, yet it can ignite a fire in someone or something. It can create belief, energy, and magic in the moment it touches. Leadership carries that same possibility, and the same responsibility. Used with care, it can breathe life into the people in your span of care. Used carelessly, even something small can cause harm.
That is the story underneath the work: to help people look up, gather again, and rediscover the magic of real human connection.
